JOB SUMMARY:
The CNC Machinist is responsible for preparing and machining steel components used in the manufacturing of agricultural handling equipment and other special projects ordered. The Machinist will perform close tolerance and general turning and milling work on both manual and CNC equipment. Some assembly work may be required. The Machinist will correctly set up and operate machining equipment to perform high quality machine work. The Machinist will complete final inspections of parts and components prior to releasing to downline customer to ensure the highest quality product is being delivered. Machinist will be available for fluctuating shifts and overtime where appropriate in order to respond to production needs. Machinist will demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accountability while working effectively and efficiently.

Typical Environmental Conditions
The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing environment. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. The environment includes a variety of physical conditions such a proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and working on scaffolding or other high places. The employee may be exposed to one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust mists, gases or poor ventilation. There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
